My Honeybunch

You’re my honeybunch, sugar plum
Pumpy-umpy-umpkin
You’re my sweetie pie
You’re my cuppycake, gumdrop
Snoogums, boogums, you’re
The apple of my eye

And I love you so
And I want you to know
That I’m always be right here
And I want to sing
Sweet songs to you
Because you are so dear

Lower Your Gaze

[Imam al-Ghazali]

Thinking Out Loud

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejYyasKSVjw

When your looks don’t work like they used to before
And I can’t sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks

And darling I will be loving you ’til we’re 70
And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Oh me I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I’m thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are

When my hair’s all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don’t remember my name
When my hands don’t play the strings the same way, mm
I know you will still love me the same

‘Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it’s evergreen
Baby your smile’s forever in my mind and memory

I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it’s all part of a plan
I’ll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you’ll understand

But baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I’m thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are

Doa Cinta Sang Pengantin

Saling menjaga kehormatan dikala jauh,
Saling menghibur dikala duka,
Saling mengingatkan dikala bahagia

Aamiin yaa robbal ‘alamiin

Be Patient

You must be patient. Even if the pains of waiting and wishing tire you, be patient. Even when long periods of time pass by and others are blessed with what they have been praying for while you still wait, be patient. For Allah does not waste the effort of the doers of good. He delays His response only to hear you call to Him more. Be patient. For what awaits you is sweeter than the bitterness of longing.

Nothing to Lose

She decided quite early on that she would have an arranged marriage. She saw those who married for love or after dating for a while eventually falling out of love once they were married.

From friends to family the more people that married for love seemed to be the first ones divorced in the first couple of years. This scared her. She heard them say ‘It just wasn’t the same anymore’ or ‘I don’t love her anymore’. For this reason, she decided she wouldn’t marry for something as temporary as love. She wanted to marry for commitment; to complete half of her deen.

She wanted to marry a righteous man that would accept her as his own and commit to her. Marriage for love and the sake of Allah seemed much more appealing to her. Someone that feared Allah with the best of manners is what she desired. She was smart, she knew eventually she would learn to love him and him to her. She understood during the times they fell out of love, it wouldn’t be the end of their marriage because it wasn’t for something as temporary as love they married for in the first place.

She acknowledged people fell in and out of love all the time and that she had everything to gain with an arranged marriage, in sha Allah nothing to lose.

Paraphrased from Her Faith
